Kayla Yaakov Calls for Barber Motorsports Park to Remain on MotoAmerica Calendar
2026-10-21

Kayla Yaakov has voiced her opposition to the possibility of Barber Motorsports Park being dropped from the MotoAmerica calendar in 2027, calling the speculation “absolutely insane” as uncertainty surrounds the Alabama venue’s future.
Rumors have circulated following Barber’s omission from the published 2027 schedule, although no official confirmation of the circuit’s removal has been announced.
Yaakov, the current MotoAmerica Supersport track record holder at Barber, made her position clear in a social media post, emphasizing the facility’s unique design, rider safety and appeal to fans.
“Barber is one of the only tracks in the country built specifically with motorcycles and rider safety in mind,” Yaakov wrote. “The racing is always amazing, the facility is unmatched, fans adore it, and dropping it for a less practical venue makes zero sense.”
The Alabama circuit has become a popular stop for competitors and spectators alike, with its flowing layout and distinctive setting making it a recognizable fixture on the American road racing calendar. Its potential absence would raise questions about the future composition of the series’ schedule and the venues available to its competitors.
Yaakov also called on fans to make their voices heard, encouraging supporters to contact both MotoAmerica and Barber Motorsports Park and demonstrate their intention to attend next season.
“Race fans, we can’t let this happen,” she wrote. “Tag MotoAmerica and Barber Motorsports Park and tell them you’re buying tickets for next year!”
The post adds a rider’s perspective to the growing discussion surrounding the 2027 calendar, with Yaakov arguing that decisions about venues should prioritize the experience and safety of both competitors and fans.
For now, Barber’s future on the MotoAmerica schedule remains uncertain. Whether the circuit returns to the calendar for 2027 has yet to be officially confirmed.
