Dominic Doyle set to compete in the 2026 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship aboard the YZF-R9 with the newly rebranded Liberty Yamaha Racing.

Dominic Doyle will step up to the MotoAmerica Supersport class for 2026 aboard the YZF-R9 with the newly rebranded Liberty Yamaha Racing, the team formerly known as Giaccmoto Racing. The move marks Doyle's fifth season with team owner Chuck Giacchetto and his first aboard a Supersport-spec machine.

Liberty St. Development, a Savannah, Georgia-based real estate development company, returns for the second year of a multi-year commitment, this time as title sponsor.

"We are pleased to see Dominic Doyle ride in the 2026 MotoAmerica Supersport series aboard the Liberty Yamaha Racing R9," Giacchetto said. "Liberty St. Development is back for the second year of a multi-year commitment and will serve as the title sponsor of the effort."

Doyle, a South African, has steadily climbed the MotoAmerica ladder under Giacchetto's guidance, earning multiple wins and podium finishes in support classes. Over the past two seasons, he competed in Twins Cup on the YZF-R7 and Super Hooligans on the MT-09, building toward this Supersport opportunity.

"Making the jump to the Supersport class has been the goal for a while now, and I'm ready to take on such a stacked field," Doyle said. "I've been grinding all off-season, and I'm feeling great both on and off the bike. The guys have left no stone unturned on the R9."

The team remains one of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A.'s officially supported MotoAmerica efforts. Jeff Sidlovsky, Yamaha Racing Assistant Department Manager, praised the partnership's trajectory.

"Chuck has been a tremendous supporter of Yamaha Racing, and we're proud of the partnership," Sidlovsky said. "He's played an important role in the development of the YZF-R7 and MT-09 platforms, and we look forward to continuing that collaboration with the YZF-R9."

Liberty Yamaha Racing will make its Supersport debut at Daytona International Speedway on March 5-7.
