MotoAmerica Moves NJMP Date for 2027 in Search of Better Weather
    Road Race Report

MotoAmerica will return to New Jersey Motorsports Park in 2027, moving the weekend up two weeks to September 10-12 in an effort to avoid the rain that soaked this year's title-deciding season finale.

The series made the reasoning clear on social media, posting on Instagram: "Rain, rain, go away! We're moving New Jersey up two weeks on the schedule for 2027."

The earlier date marks a notable shift from previous years, notably 2026, when the series arrived in Millville in late September and ran headlong into a Nor'easter. Rain defined the weekend, and the Superbike championship was ultimately decided on a wet track.

By moving the event earlier in September, MotoAmerica is targeting warmer, drier conditions and a better chance at dry racing during the closing stages of the season.

The 2027 visit will also bring a new storyline to Millville. Fong and Kelly, who went head-to-head for the 2026 crown, will return to New Jersey as teammates at OrangeCat Racing.

Tickets for the September 10-12, 2027, weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park are on sale now.
